Tacton has been present in Japan the last 15 years through partnerships with some key players in the market space. We are now looking for an individual or a small firm, interested of being an extension of Tacton, supporting our local resellers and acting as our Partner Director in Japan.


The Team

The Partner Director Japan will belong to the Channel & Alliances team, the Tacton unit that secures software sales through or with the support of partners, as well as supports those partners offering implementation services to Tacton’s end-customers.


Partner Director Japan manages partners with the objective to secure revenue and develop the indirect sales of Tacton software.


You will report to VP Global Channel & Alliances at headquarters in Stockholm, and you are based in Japan.



Your role in the team: 

  • Responsible for supporting and driving sales through partners and resellers. Works with Tacton sales team to ensure alignment on joint opportunities.
  • Creates annual business plan with selected partners and follows up on a quarterly basis. Manages pipeline and forecasting for the territory. 
  • Works with Marketing to drive marketing efforts.
  • Enables partners with sales and technical tools. Aligns Sales Engineering or Commercial Deal support when needed.
  • Supports partners to be up to date with latest value proposition and sales/implementation skills.
  • Drives certification goals with partner.
  • Identifies new partnerships and strategic alliances, in addition to strengthening existing partners.

For this role, you will have to travel in Japan and to HQ (Sweden) up to 50%.


Your Strengths and Experience: 

  • +7 years of business development and sales with a sound understanding of Channel sales and third-party reseller business model
  • +3 years SaaS-based services and pricing
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM
  • Understanding of CPQ, CAD or Design Automation are nice to have
  • Excellent situation management skills, with the ability to be fair and firm on lead registration, support contracts, and partner tier requirements
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in Japanese and English
  • Strong customer service, listening and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a large volume of opportunities, tasks and responsibilities
  • Self-Starter / High Energy / Positive Attitude / Customer Focused/ Team player
