In Japan, Business Sweden works with leading multinational companies and start-ups across all industries, and our clients’ business is often driven by digitalization, innovation, and sustainability. Our consultancy services include e.g., market entry & growth strategies including M&A, sales acceleration, tech scouting as well as Business to Government (B2G) support. From a promotional perspective, we work heavily with supporting Swedish companies drive their sustainability agendas via the Pioneer the Possible platform, and Business Sweden is also busy with organizing the Swedish participation in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. We also work with targeted industries such as gaming, new energy sources, packaging, life science, and Swedish food.

The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities such as:

1. Working primarily within our advisory operations, scoping and delivering strategic consultancy projects to Swedish large and middle-sized companies
2. Taking an active role in the preparation and execution of Swedish companies’ commercial and sustainability agendas in order to help them leverage the World Expo in Osaka to reach their goals
3. Collaborate with the invest team, building and working with your network of Japanese firms to attract high-quality investments into Sweden and Swedish innovative ecosystems

The role is based in Tokyo, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.
