Friday 22nd of March were another Nordic Connect event helt together with the Norwegian, Icelandic, Danish and Finish Chamber- this time hosted at the office of Össur. 

Össur is a global leader in innovative mobility solutions from Iceland who are aiming to enable a Life Without Limitations. The evening began with a session of explaining the function of their products that enables ones tho move a protes leg with their mind. This was followed by a nice networking over some good food and drinks.

The sold out annual team building bowling competition was a great success! We're happy so see many new faces as well as returning old champions. The event was held at the newly renovated Sasazuka Bowl in Tokyo 14th of March. The evening began with a warm up followed by a heated competition between 8 teams.

Yesterday, the Volvo Cars studio in Tokyo hosted our third event in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) series, focusing on increasing the representation of women in management. The event brought together an array of brilliant leaders, and our minds are still buzzing with the insightful takeaways!

On February 2nd, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Japan hosted a captivating evening featuring Anton Wörmann, where attendees delved into Japan's housing dilemma and its promising potential.

Anton Wörmann engaged the audience with insights into Japan's challenge of abandoned houses and the vast opportunities they offer. He highlighted Japan's capacity for sustainable growth, encouraging everyone to embrace the country's possibilities.

What a success! Over 100 persons participated in the autumn edition of our popular Nordic Craft Beer Evening event at Mikkeller Kiosk in Shibuya on October 13th. 

An afterwork that we all wished never had an ending. Good food, better beer and the best company! 

We can not promise a "favorite in rerun" as we say in Sweden. So for those who were to slow and didn't get their hands on one of the outsold tickets, here's a tasty bite of what you missed out on

Hello!

My name is Emma Karlsson, a bachelor's student in Business Administration at the School of Business, Economics, and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. I was raised in a creative and artistic family in Småland, but developed an interest in entrepreneurship and finance, thanks to my father's influence. During my years at university, my primary focus has evolved, primarily towards finance and growth companies.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce organised an event on DEI in management, together with the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan,  Global Perspectives, and MAERSK on May 11th, 2023.

SCCJ members, business partners, families and friends as well as the Swedish-Japanese community in Japan were invited to celebrate the Sweden National Day 2023 at two events jointly organized by SCCJ and Embassy of Sweden supported by 22 generous sponsor companies.

It was our honour to welcome approximately 850 guests at the public celebration on June 4th at the Embassy of Sweden.
